What You Need to Know

Daoust Vukovich LPP has become a founding sponsor and Charter Member of the Queen’s Real Estate Roundtable.  The Roundtable has evolved from the widely respected Queen’s University’s Executive Seminars on Corporate and Investment Real Estate.

Now in its early stages of development, the Roundtable will become a national, not-for-profit organization that aims at bringing together senior executives representing various sectors of the commercial real estate industry, the purpose of which will be to advance and share best practices and discuss issues of common interest.  The Roundtable membership will be formed by 25 of the most significant companies in the commercial real estate industry, with each member company being represented by its one or two most senior executives.

According to Dennis Daoust, a founding partner at Daoust Vukovich LLP:

“The Queen’s Real Estate Roundtable will raise awareness of the challenges faced by members of the commercial real estate community and will develop solutions and approaches to dealing with those problems.  We are pleased to be able to participate in this initiative and are confident that it will make invaluable contributions to the commercial real estate community”.

The Queen’s Real Estate Roundtable plans to hold 2-3 seminars every year, hosting prominent speakers from North America and around the world.  In addition, it will be hosting an annual senior executive retreat, providing focused, applicable and member-directed research conducted by an international network of top researchers, hosting various networking events involving Ambassadors to Canada from 20 Asia-Pacific countries and other senior foreign government officials, and providing exclusive recruiting opportunities with Queen’s graduates.

Attendance at the Roundtable will be by invitation only, providing small, interactive forums where attendees can engage in discussions on current and emerging themes that are important to the commercial real estate industry.  Although the Roundtable will be based at Queen’s University, member companies will play a significant role in its governance.
