Meet Wolfgang
Wolfgang Kaufmann is counsel to the firm. His practice is focused on acting as an arbitrator and mediator. His expertise is in Commercial Leasing, including rent arbitrations, lease interpretation, ground leases, operating costs disputes and expert determinations. After nearly 40 years in Commercial Litigation, Wolfgang has extensive experience in Real Estate, Mortgage Enforcement, Franchising and Condominiums.
Wolfgang joined Daoust Vukovich LLP in 1997. As senior litigation partner, he worked with his partners to build one of the best firms in Canada for commercial property leasing and development. Wolfgang's practice focused on litigation and arbitration. He has appeared in all levels of court and participated in numerous arbitrations and mediations, both as counsel, mediator and arbitrator.
As a skilled Mediator, Wolfgang builds consensus and moves the parties toward resolution. He helps them understand the strengths and weaknesses of their case and assess the risks and costs of continuing their dispute. His goal is always to settle the case and creative solutions are always on the table.
As an Arbitrator, Wolfgang ensures that the dispute is resolved on its merits as efficiently, expeditiously, and cost-effectively as possible consistent with doing justice. The process is private and confidential and affords the parties the flexibility to resolve their dispute in a timely fashion.
